David is a highly experienced and respected engineer in the Building Services Sector with 40 years in the industry and the last 25 spent at senior Board & management level. He was awarded an MBE in the Kings Birthday Honours list 2023 for services to lift & escalator engineering. He is a visiting Professor at the University of Northampton. He has extensive experience with lifts, escalators, passenger walkways, cable cars, cranes & lifting equipment. A Chartered Engineer, David is registered with the Engineering Council and is a Fellow of a number of Professional Engineering Institutions and has been acknowledged with awards for his skill and experience. He has been the Project Director on a number of award-winning UK and overseas projects and has experience with design, installation, modernization, surveys, project management, traffic analysis, health & safety and accident investigation. He is an experienced expert witness (over 700 cases) having provided evidence in civil, criminal and coroners courts including personal injury (having investigated over 40 fatalities), contractual disputes, rent reviews and patent disputes. He is also experienced with other forms of dispute resolution including mediation, adjudication and arbitration. David is a commercially aware engineer with broad experience in other areas of business including contract law, budgets, health & safety and marketing. He is also experienced and qualified in Governance, and has advised corporates in acquisition deals in the sector.
